Gmail down??? (Temporary Error 502)
UPDATE : Check the below URL for a set of workarounds to fetch emails from GMail when the service is down.
I m not able to access my gmail account for the last 5+ hours. This is what I see when I login into Gmail with my account :

However, my friends are able to login. Also I m able to login into other Google services!!!
Dear Google, 5+ hours is not temporary!!! Please solve the problem before I sue you!! [;)]

I can access my GMail account now (1900 hours - after 9 hours!) Hope the problem is solved for others too..

It's not me alone. I m getting the same error for more than 4 hours.
report your problem in their groups - though nothing would happen.
It's me also :) Find your site through a Google Blog search, at least I know I am not alone!
Same here! It's already 6 hours since I noticed it. I hope it doesn't last for more then a day. At least it's nice to see that it's not only me. Perhaps we should start a support group?

still down (9am) for me since around 11pm last night. Seems like a record for Gmail. This also applies to my Google Apps mail (which has been down for the same amount of time).
Aiyyo... Its a mistake. I asked them to disable your blog access. They instead disabled your gmail access! I will ask them to rectify
11:15 in guam and still down for last 5 hours! ugh!
502 - Five Not Two,
Initially it is expected for 2 hours, then it laster more than 2 hours, so the error message is 'FIVE NOT TWO'.

hey! it has happened to me couple of time.
looks like it's still down for anyone using Firefox 3 beta 4 (it used to work). The web server doesn't even seem to respond to mail.google.com. I should note that I am able to access it just fine with firefox 2
Unfortunately I'm now getting the same 502 error when I try to login to my GMail account. I've been getting this error for more than 12 hours straight! Very frustrating.
I've tried both FF3 and IE7, same error. Cleared my cache and cookies, tried logging in from different PC's, same error.
I can access GMail if using a different account, but with my primary account, I still get the 502 error, and that's the account I need!
Is anyone else getting the 502 error today?

Been out of service for 8 hours and counting. I live in Kansas.

Temporary Error (502) this is the first time its happen to me. I live in Texas. I love google. maybe they will get it fixed soon
This was also first time for me. But just after the reporting they took immediate action and resolved it. Thanks to the Team of G-mail engineers. My best of love and faith on G-mail. Only for this sincerity I am only using G-mail as my only mail account. Thanks again to the whole team for their active support.
Seems the similar problem on August 11, 2008 have affected most GMail users. Google have felt sorry for the problem.

Not a good TRICK OR A TREAT! My Gmail is down for a few days now. I am going to get an ulcer soon. My life (sad as it is) runs on Gmail. I've got docs, blogger, etc running, but NO GMAIL.
Please someone get a solution. Gmail help is no help so far.
